I don’t know whether or not I can blame this on the "pregnancy stupids" or if this is just an organic brain malfunction like Lying About My Age…but since late last week, I’ve been a week off, and planning my long weekend in Milwaukee with irrational exhuberance.

I’m going to be in Milwaukee the weekend before Labor Day. I get a long weekend because I took Monday off, and I have to be in Chicago for work on 8/30 & 31.

I can’t remember exactly when I started thinking of that as "this weekend" but Jill and I talked about what she was going to do while I was out of town, and I made plans to pack tonight because I’ll be too busy Wednesday and Thursday. What???

Then yesterday, my friend Brian mentioned that he and some of our other friends will be in Milwaukee this weekend. I got so excited! We started making plans, including the possibility of them surprising a former teacher of ours by crashing our scheduled brunch. I also RSVP’d yes to a party in Atlanta on 8/27.

Oops.

On the plus side, that means I have another week to do house stuff before I go.
