They just popped back into my head. I had two strange dreams last night, both about Lil Smudge.

In the first one, he was a small person, maybe 4 or 5 years old. He wasn’t doing anything in particular, I was just really happy to see him post-babyhood.

I was having a lovely last-minute snuggle with Jill before getting dressed and going to work when I dozed off and had the second one. He gave a major wriggle over most of my torso, and it really felt like a cat rubbing up against me. I woke up completely startled, thinking "What’s a cat doing here???" And then I realized what really happened.

I think part of it was from talking with Erik, husband of Madelaine, last night while he cared for his son Freddy (3) and niece Antonia (4 or 5). I also learned last night from Mom that c-sections for breech babies is a fairly new practice. Mom said that one of us was born head-first and the other was born feet-first. They can’t tell which way Smudge is aimed, but he’s free to move however he wants for 2 more weeks. Then we need to goad him into being head-down or it’s c-section time.
