The last 2 days have been very productive! So far, we have:

  • Tentatively crossed another name off of the list;
  • Bought and brought home a pre-assembled combo dresser/changing table that we really like;
  • Hit the consignment store and acquired a very cool new-looking bouncy seat and one of those colorful, rubber, interlocking floormat puzzles (for over the itchy rug in our dining room);
  • Made plans for what to do with Jill’s Mom if the baby hasn’t arrived yet by the time she comes to visit — or at least by a couple of days later; and
  • Selected a pediatrician and gotten a good list of medicines and medicinal stuff that we should go get before the baby arrives (not that we’ll use most of it before he gets to be a few months old)

Today is a yicky, gray, rainy day — the kind where you want to curl up in bed and nap. I think I’m going to get to work on that next, even though I just ate one of my favorite weekend brunches. (Pancakes with pistachio cream cheese, from our local Irish pub.)

Fruit & Veg Count, 1/20: 1 organic banana, 1 organic gala apple, another entertainingly poor excuse for vegetables called "guacamole salad" — ~1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce with ~3 teaspoons of guacamole and 2 tablespoons of sour cream
