A few more contractions, but nothing especially exciting. In spite of my best efforts.
C’mon, Scalini’s! Less than 10 hours left for the eggplant to get any credit.

Don’t feel bad. My hunch was yesterday. Yours still has a shot!
(And I even bet lunch on my hunch, so not only do I not yet have a baby, but I owe someone else lunch!)

no, i really thought you’d be in labor by midnight.
how can you get any work done this week? i wouldn’t be able to concentrate. i guess they really aren’t expecting you to get much done this week. jill either, she’s probably spending half her day checking to make sure her cell phone is on.
remember in the olden days when the father (it was only fathers you ever heard about back then) would get a pager just temporarily so that the mother could page him when she went into labor? how quaint is that now that everyone has cell phones and blackberries and the like.

Luckily, I’m working from home unless there are meetings I need to attend this week, or until the baby arrives.
Since Jill mostly works from home too, the cell phone issue is minor. What’s been challenging is finding things to entertain Jill’s mom.
She’s been at the Carter Center this afternoon.

Where is my nephew?!?
I’m to type A for all of this waiting! (Lord knows what I’ll do when I become a Mom! Heaven help Jason then!)
One of my friends suggested Tequila to help Smudge along… Either that or it’ll make you lose track of time. But it sounds like a win-win situation.

Hmm. The midwife suggested a glass of wine, but I don’t think she was recommending that I go out and get drunk enough to lose track of time.
