First, King, if you see this in the future, I’m sorry. I only did it to try to get help to make you feel better. And I’m sure you’ve never had skin that looked like this again, nor will you ever in the future. Especially when you’re a teenager.

Here’s the face picture (click for an enlargement), which is MUCH improved since the application of the steroid cream just 8 hours ago:
100_0446100_0450In a nutshell, cradle cap = horrifyingly bad baby dandruff. The first time we noticed it, it literally looked like a cap of skin separating from his scalp when we got him wet in the bath. Poor little guy.

The back of his neck actually looks much worse, unfortunately, he kept
moving, so I wasn’t able to get a really in-focus image of it.
Nonetheless, here’s what I was able to get, and it gives you the idea:

Noah’s rash looks very much like Levi’s, although Noah’s looks a bit worse. Levi’s cleared up almost completely after a few days on the steroid cream plus an antihistimine plus zyrtec. We want to get to the root cause, so the dermatologist recommended quitting everything and seeing an allergist if it came back. The rash is now creeping back. We’re going to a pediatric allergist today so we’ll let you know what she says.

Hey there! Got to your site through Levi’s. Nice to meet y’all. Congratulations on little baby boy!

    Hi Liza,
I recently used a steroid cream on my face and had a severe reaction! The area bubbled and oozed resulting in several trips to the dermatologist. Dr. said it was “Steroid induced rosacea” and a steroid cream is just too powerful for the delicate facial skin. After several weeks and two new prescriptions, my face is now a pale pink. It’ll take months to be like it was before I used the first cream. I hope your baby heals quickly, without negative reaction. He’s too beautiful to have a rash on his little face.

Oh, poorest little baby boy! Cradle cap is not a whole lot of fun. I had no idea it could spread off the scalp. Poor baby. I hope the creme is working for you.
