Noah’s First Junk Mail
Posted by Liza under The Real Live Boy
Noah got his first junk mail today. We’re so proud.
I’m not sure how legible this is in the photo, but the name of the catalogue is "The Source for Everything Jewish." The back cover, where Noah’s name appears, also offers a framed, 3-D print of a beautiful version of the Woman of Valor bit from Proverbs, the book The Quotable Jewish Woman, some skin care products from the Dead Sea, and a doll little Jewish girl arriving at Ellis Island.
Lovely items, no doubt.
But we’re not Jewish.
What I really can’t wait to see is the kind of other mailing lists and telephone solicitations this generates. Heh.

Hi, found you through 2 pink lines. Just wanted to reassure you that the Source for Everything Jewish, is a pretty mainstream relatively high end catalogue. I don’t know how they got your address but chances are you’re not on too many other wierd lists
. Though I really have no idea how they got your address (though Noah is a pretty common Jewish name).

Actually, I do know how Noah got on their list! I just think it’s very funny. Aunt Anna (who is Jewish) sent Noah a lovely gift, their stuffed Noah’s Ark toy. (Also, half of our hyphenated last name is more commonly Jewish than Christian, and I grew up with people frequently assuming that I was Jewish. Which will probably also happen to Noah.)
Thank you for adding your reassurance, though.
