B-Boy?
Posted by Liza under The Real Live Boy
Apparently he really is going to be a B-Boy. (For my King readers, this is a B-U, Basketball Update.)
The official results are in, from the 4 month checkup today. The boy is tall. 27 3/4 inches. Off the charts. The size of an average 7-8 month old. He’s lighter than we thought, only 16 lbs, 2 oz., dropping Noah down to the 75th percentile for the first time. Same with head circ, 17 1/2 inches, 75th percentile.
And the nice doctor Really REALLY REALLY emphasized that we should try to resist the temptation to give him solid foods for another couple of months. But she gave us the go-ahead on water and very watery juice, so the 2 new sippy cups from Ikea will get some use this weekend. ("It’s totally unnecessary, but if he really wants it, go ahead, it might be fun!")
So, sorry school principal, but it looks like solids won’t be helping matters any for another 6 or 7 weeks. (The nice doctor also said to start them a little while before the next visit, so we can talk about how it’s going.)
And I’m feeling a little better and less overwhelmed today. A good night’s sleep helps a lot. We actually had to wake Noah this morning — he slept until 6:30 am!
