Reprieve
Posted by Liza under Personal, The Real Live Boy
For the first time in MONTHS, not only is Noah napping on the weekend, but he is NOT doing so while draped over me. AND it’s the second time today!!!
I think I wore him out playing outside and going for walks this morning, while Jill was in a class. Not only did we take two walks, I also made chicken for mommies, started on some chicken for Noah, did a load of laundry, and a load of dishes. I am on fire! And it’s only 1:23 pm.<>
While outside, I discovered that it’s really no longer possible for one-mommy mamarazzi activity. It’s entertaining, but you only get a tiny number of pictures that are something other than the top of the baby’s head, or whatever was in the direction you were waving the camera to keep the baby from eating it.

Thank you!
Can you tell that his t-shirt says “My Mom’s Blog is Better Than Your Mom’s Blog?” Thank you cafepress!

Speaking of cafepress, did the “congratulations on the adoption” stuff ever arrive?

Gah! How embarassing!!! Yes, and he uses the bib all the time! The apron has recently joined the frequent rotation, now that Noah is better at grabbing spoonfuls of sticky stuff, which is hard to completely clean off of his fingers/hands/face/neck/legs/hair/ears/elbows/eyelashes before picking him up.

Whew! I figured you had simply forgotten to mention since you had a brazillion things going on, but I had a lurking fear that the package had been lost. I suspected the apron might be handy — a bib for the baby, and a bigger bib for the baby toters.

I can’t get over how big he’s getting. I mean, HE WAS JUST BORN.
(he is adorable. But you knew that!)

Bib for the baby toters was a brilliant idea, Reno.
And Isabel, thank you, and I know what you mean! Yesterday we took him to the mall, which he loves. It’s clear that Noah thinks all the people and mirrors and lights are there in homage to him. (And like any gracious monarch, he talks to his public and waves his arms with glee.)
While there, we saw lots of other babies holding court, and he was the same size as the 18 month old whose mom we chatted with in line!!!

I really like the mamarazzi one handed photos. They have so much energy! Like Noah. And his Moms. Not all good pics have to be face centered.
Plus his Democratic grandpa will be pleased to see that Noah is still chewing on the elephant puzzle head and learning what the enemy (elephants or things they symbolize)looks like–and apparently tastes like.

Gee Mom! I was waiting for you to comment on the symbolism!!
