How fabulous does this site look now???
The incredibly amazing and talented and generous S., after making a beautiful theme for LesbianFamily.org, made me a new banner for this site and customized the theme AGAIN for this blog.
How nice is she????????
Loooong pause to go soothe and feed (again) a very unhappy teething baby who also, I swear to god, has farted the volume of his own body in noxious gasses in the last 3 hours. Maybe more.
I am in love with the new banner. With the SoVo article last week, Jill felt like she wanted just a teeny bit more privacy than being in the banner of the blog. Since Noah is too young to tell me he’d like that too, and the blog is pretty much all about him these days, I have new banner photos. In a beautiful new banner, with a new tagline.
Don’t blame S. for the 2 funny-lookin bits in the sidebar. She gave me something that worked perfectly and looked lovely, and I messed around with it and caused it to become slightly funny-lookin.
THANK YOU, S! I love my new look!

Very nice design! I understand Jill. I’m still adjusting to new readers who see me out and about ATL. A little strange.

Thanks so much for the props, Liza, and thanks for being my guinea pig as I try to learn my way around some website design. I’m really glad you like it!

Looks great, Liza! Love the banner and the background…all of it. Way to go S.!
But where are your links?
Also, the West is huge–but beautiful to drive around. And Zion? Sooooooo gorgeous. I took my then 65-year-old mother tent camping in Zion. Truly incredible to wake up and see all that beauty surrounding you!

It looks great. But my question is… where did you get that tee shirt for Noah??? That is TOO PERFECT!

j.brotherlove — are you having celeb moments? How strange, but cool!
Lizzy, my giganto list of mommyandfuturemommy blogs moved over to LesbianFamily.org. You’re listed under “friends of the family,” and you’re in wonderful company.

Trista, I got it at Cafe Press, TotRocket: http://www.cafepress.com/totrocket.53971156
They have weird sizing for adults. I ordered a “large” long sleeve T (http://www.cafepress.com/totrocket.45142804) which is insanely too big for me, and an “XL” baseball jersey (http://www.cafepress.com/totrocket.44800327) which I can only think must really be a child’s XL.

the baseball shirt is an american apparel shirt, which are cut much smaller than the hanes “beefy” tees you are probably used to (like the large long sleeve tee).
for comparison, i wear a child’s large “beefy” tee and a woman’s medium american apparel shirt.

Some food thoughts:
You didn’t eat 6 donuts - you ate your three and my three. As I can no longer have donuts anymore others must take over that responsibility for you and you stepped up! Yay! But next time, let’s have it be your two, my two, and save two for Jill. Because I didn’t used to eat three in one day.
If you cook a big ol’ pot of brown rice on the weekend (or when you have 45 minutes) a whole bunch of meals become a lot easier.
I am basically a peasant, so my favorite meals are often one skilleters:
* 1 bag of precut potatoes with onions, 2 or 3 apples, some kind of artisan sausage. Herbs, spices, garlic, parsley, etc (lemon pepper works great). Chop what needs chopping. Throw in skillet. Drink wine while shoving ingredients around with a spatula.
* Brown rice, spinach (when it’s safe again), diced tomatoes, kielbasa, lots o’ garlic, good cheese (like Kerrygold Dubliner) to grate o’ertop.
Great. Now I’m hungry again….
