Let me repeat that. Everyone is fine.

Except for the part where Noah is sick, but it doesn’t seem to be serious.

Last night, he came home from school listless, having been sick a few times during the day, and having a 102 degree fever. When we finally reached the nurse hotline, they recommended that we give him some tylenol and bring him in to the children’s hospital ER.

Unfortunately, there were several major traumas that were either ambulanced or medivac-helicoptered to the same children’s hospital ER, so we enjoyed an approximately 3 hour visit. Noah perked up about an hour into it, and by the end, he was having a great time, although he was still hot to the touch.

ER recommendation: alternate tylenol & motrin, keep him nursing, he looks wonderful except for a little fever.

Noah slept badly most of the night, a little better when I brought him to bed with us, and better still on my lap this morning after we got up.

We followed up this morning with our regular pediatrician. She thinks the poor guy has some mild gastritis and is recommending that we just feed him breastmilk and maybe water or pedialyte, since he likes to drink from a cup.

Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.
