Not the Election Post, Yet
Posted by Liza under Personal
My teeny-weenie desktop fridge, where I’ve been storing pumped milk at work, died sometime last night.
I left it on last night, because I had a yogurt in there that I hadn’t eaten. When I came in this morning, it was off, and I thought, “Damn! I thought I left that on. I’m an idiot.” And I threw away the warm yogurt.
But when I pumped this morning, and went to put the results of my effort into the fridge, I found that it was already set to “cold.”
Fooooeeeey. Phooey. Putoooey.
Off to the shared fridge for the whole floor (ick!) and I guess I will be bringing in a little cooler pack from now on. Dagnabit.
At least I got enough sleep that I’m not doing all this for 2 measly ounces.

Wow. You have some kind of anti milk-machinery force field! How many pumps and now a refrigerator? I’m so sorry! The cold pack thing works pretty well - if I were you, I’d put the freezy pack in the shared fridge until after your first pump, and then keep it and the bottles in the milk bag for the rest of the day. Works pretty well for me on the days I leave early for meetings.
