Top Ten Things I Am Thankful For - 2006
Posted by Liza under Personal
- My family, especially how supportive Jill has been since Noah was born.
- Noah is growing into a healthy, thriving little boy.
- Jill was able to adopt Noah, so she is his parent under the law as well as in fact.
- My pregnancy, birth, and nursing experience were relatively easy and had no out-of-the-normal-range complications.
- The first national election I didn’t find depressing since 1994, especially the part where Arizona rejected an anti-gay ballot initiative.
- My job is interesting, and I work with great people.
- My home is a comfortable place, and I have no serious unmet physical needs.
- I am making a difference.
- I have wonderful friends (although I wish we lived close to more of them).
- The connection and reconnection to people that has taken place because of blogging and this crazy creation, the Internet, which I have been intrigued by since I first encountered it in 1987.

About number 10…
I have a very clear memory of you and I sitting at the bar in Landmark Lanes and you explaining the Web to me. (This must have been 94 or 95)
I don’t remember why we were there or if anyone else was around.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving! Glad to be in touch again.

Sean! That is hilarious. It was probably 94, because I think that was the peak of my Internet evangelism. At least you were lucky enough to have me going on and on over a good beer.
As to why we were there, my theory is good cheap beer. Happy Thanksgiving! And I’m glad you found my blog and we’re back in touch too. I look forward to eventually meeting Karen!
