3 gargantuan loads of “sanitary cycle” laundry, 7 large pots of boiled toys and feeding accessories, and lots of icky goo and grapefruit seed extract later, we seem to be making progress on project Thrush Flush.

Let this be a lesson to you: If you are nursing, and you experience any pain, contact a lactation consultant or your health care provider immediately. Do not wait. Do not even wait until tomorrow.

On a totally unrelated note, I got my first piece of “you are going to hell because of your lifestyle” email this weekend. Hooray for the spam button.

We have actually been thinking a lot about church and God and all that again lately. We are very sad this weekend because our friend and neighbor, Ken, passed away yesterday. He was on a heart transplant list, but in October, took a serious turn for the worse, and has been in palliative care only for the last week or so.

Ken and his wife Alison introduced us to our church and were some of the nicest people we’ve met. Ken was looking forward to teaching Noah all about airplanes and engines, and we so wish that it could have been.

The funeral is on Tuesday.
