We enjoyed the long weekend, mostly, but it was hard to blog about. A LOT of the weekend looked like this:

Pushing!

Yes, exactly like that. Noah pushed that chair around in circles in the kitchen all weekend. He also took breaks:

Pausing and Laughing

On Sunday, Noah got to go play at Liam’s house, with Liam’s cool toys (including something stable to walk and push, but with wheels!) and Liam’s pretty babysitter, Samantha.

All the mommies drove out to Athens to watch the Georgia women’s basketball team play Tennessee. We had a blast, but unfortunately, it was Georgia’s worst game since 1974, their first season. Both teams have little fireball short players, which someone in our house especially likes, so that helped. Sadly, we did not get to see Candace Parker dunk.

Oh, and on top of his thrush, Noah also got pinkeye. Happily, we were suspicious on Friday, so when his eye was all crusty and somewhat red on Saturday morning, we called the doctor right away. And she told us that it wasn’t contagious any more after 24 hours of treatment. So we didn’t go to Liam’s just to infect him.

In case you were wondering, eye drops are not popular. However, tylenol is no longer considered a form of torture. In fact, Noah will open up and let mommy squirt in a dropperful without protest. (We think there may be teething going on, too. Poor little guy!)

The mommies are a little relieved that the long weekend is over. We had excessive silly bickering this weekend, which is always demoralizing. I think the hardest thing is that we don’t have a good network of people to whom we can vent and get the little frustrations out of our systems.

(Knowing that both Jill’s parents and mine read the blog, for example, pretty much excludes it as the bitch session locale. And really, for a good pressure-relieving vent, a human being who can ride the wave of righteous indignation with you until you calm down again is better than a blog.)
