I was so sad this morning, when I heard that Molly Ivins died yesterday.

She is the person to whom I wrote my one and only fan letter, after the hardcover publication of Nothin’ But Good Times Ahead.

Sad, sad, sad.

If you’re a Molly Ivins fan, I hope that you will do something to honor her memory this week — write a letter to the editor, call one of your elected officials, join the ACLU or your local Democratic Party.

And have fun while you’re doing it. Molly would definitely have wanted it that way.
