More Birthday
Posted by Liza under Personal
The cake was carmel and delicious, and the boy was handsome and sweet.
Noah’s friend Spencer and her mommy Kamina came over for cake. Noah found Spencer facinating.
He had a good time eating cake as well as watching Spencer.
Eventually Spencer and Kamina had to go home, but his mommies’ friends Philip, Cassie, and Paul came over.
Noah was a little bit over having company. At some point towards the end of the afternoon, he started whining and complaining, and eventually, saying “bye-bye!” over and over.
It didn’t work so well, but eventually, Noah had his mommies to himself again, and we had dinner.
I’m a lucky mommy. Even at the end of a very long day, Noah’s still a sweet boy, willing to share:

great idea noah! i’m going to try that sometime (repeating bye bye, bye bye) when i think guests have overstayed their welcome. i suspect it might work better if i do it.

Happy birthday, Noah! I’m so glad your Mommy writes this so we can stay close so many states away. Can’t wait to meet you in person so you can play with Adam and share big lamprey kisses!

He’s just stunning! I can’t believe that the last time I saw him he wasn’t born yet - we have to get back to Atlanta! It looks like you made a spectacular birthday. I’ve been to some that are just social occasions for the parents - and tho that should be PART of the scene I’ve always thought birthday parties should be for the birthday person. It’s so clear that’s what you did - though I would have never thought otherwise.
Happy birthday to Noah and his moms - each year is a treasure and privilege, isn’t it?

Next year, he gets his own private cake — read cupcake–as does every person at the party. (I’ll bake!) That cake was HUGE!! No wonder he looked exhausted by the end of the day. Amazing he even had room for the goldfish he was trying to share.
Noah, hang in there. This will begin to make sense soon.
Love, Grandma
