Thursday and today have been the most tempting so far.

On Thursday, I resisted temptation in the form of a cute duvet cover in the returns section at Ikea. What was I doing at Ikea when I’m not supposed to be spending money frivolously? Having lunch. It’s maybe 6 or 7 minutes from my office, and their food is very reasonable.

Today, I went to the Even Bigger, Even Better giant multi-family consignment sale half-price day at yet another local church school. Most of my purchases were legitimate:

Summer Baby Clothes

Not pictured, 1 pair of sandals and 10 pair of socks, all currently in the washing machine.

One purchase was especially awesome:

Skull Shirt

Can you believe that shirt? Yes, those are Itty Bitty Skulls, and the buttons are Itty Bitty Bones. I was so happy to find it after all the precious smocked pastels. I paid a whole $4 for that shirt!

But I did what I shouldn’t have done. I went into the toys room. And I found something I couldn’t resist.

 Baby Piano

For $1.50, a 3rd baby piano moved into our house. Yes. A 3rd baby piano. The first was a lovely birthday gift from Mikki & Claire, and plays songs, animal sounds, and notes. The second was a birthday gift from us, it plays 4 notes and doesn’t use batteries. Now this.

I’m not beating myself up too much, though. The total cost of all these goodies was $23.41, including tax.
