Three! And Green! And MeMe!
Posted by Liza under The Real Live Boy
Yesterday was a very exciting day!
We went to the the Southeastern Railway Museum, where we got to ride on a real train, and explore a whole bunch more trains.
As you can tell, Noah liked exploring, but was NOT a fan of the mini-engine. At that point, we’d also been there for almost 2 hours.
We left with a cool new book, That’s not my train…, which we’ve read 4 17 times since yesterday. Noah loves to repeat “my train!” on every page.
He also got a new green train — Henry, for those of you who are also more familiar than you wish, with the names and personalities of certain cult-like characters. Here’s Noah talking about the train.
A little later yesterday evening, we caught on tape, Noah doing the thing that we think is the cutest thing he does. Whenever he burps, he says “Excuse me!” only in toddler, that’s not quite how it comes out.

Snicker. At least he was afraid of the model train? The picture doesn’t do justice to the scene. You have to imagine 4 flailing limbs all urgently trying to propel a small boy back to the ground.
Weighing in on the other side is the fact that we brought home a freebie old calendar with pictures of steam engines. Guess what we had to “read” this morning before even getting up out of the crib?
