* We have a slot at our church day care (NAEYC accredited) starting 5/19. For 3 weeks, Noah will be in the “one year old” room, then he will move with all of his new classmates into the “two year old” room for the next year. I think his classmates include 3 of his friends from Sunday School. (Incidentally, all little blond boys.)

The center director raised concerns about all that transitioning and is going to work with us and both of Noah’s future teachers to make sure that it goes as smoothly as possible.

* We are in discussions with a home day care provider for the time between now and then. She has 2 two year old boys and an infant right now, plus her 9 year old son after school. More transitioning is better than having him somewhere that leaves us concerned about his safety.

* Noah has been waking up in the middle of the night. We’ve gated his doorway, but he still opens his door and rattles the gate until we come. Generally, Noah settles down after we re-blanket him and make sure that the critical choo-choos are right there, but it still sucks.

* I have officially entered the heartburn stage of pregnancy. It sucks even worse than I remembered it. (And I have had GERD off and on for 15 years.) Last night I ate the worst possible dinner for that and paid for it all night. I couldn’t face the idea of being horizontal at 10 pm so I fell asleep sitting up on the couch and stayed there until 2 am.

* We are going to Tampa this weekend to see the semi-finals of the Women’s Final Four and hang out with our dear friends Mikki & Claire. (Even better? Only Jill and Mikki are actually going to the game. Have I mentioned that I’m just not that sportual?)
