Here’s our first official legally both the mommies family portrait, along with the judge, immediately after she signed the order granting Jill’s petition for adoption.

Unfortunately, the pictures with our lawyer in them too didn’t turn out as well.

He’s bright eyed and bushy tailed at 7:30 am. Unlike his mommies, although both of us are doing better that early than we ever used to do.

This morning, it was Jill’s turn to add weights to her light level of aerobic activity. And isn’t he the cutest weight?

Here is my long promised picture of Hank the Duck, one of Noah’s favorite toys.

In addition to the delicate and unusual features you can see, Hank’s head also lifts up completely to reveal a small mirror. Noah hasn’t noticed this yet. He’s too busy biting Hank’s feet and crunching the green and blue “petals.”

Do those of you who concerned about my over-gendered messages to Noah feel better about me giving the lion-headed-thing a boy’s name?

First Day of School

Noah started school this morning. He did wonderfully, just looking around at all the new people and stuff. I hung out and helped him get settled for the first few hours, and am now home grabbing lunch and then heading to work.

Here’s Noah checking things out in the big mirror, and enjoying his feet. This is the most popular spot among the babies in Noah’s class!

I don’t know why, but it was a lot harder for Mommy to leave Noah at school with Miss Lorraine, Miss Val, and Miss Naisha than it was to leave him at home with Mr. Clint.

Funniest 2 things: There are TWO babies in his class who are proportionally larger than Noah. There’s a 3 month old who is slightly bigger than Noah is, and an 8 month old giant. We’ll get the official word on Noah’s percentile size on Friday, but he’s still tracking 90-95th, so these are REALLY BIG boys.

And, the word “sunscreen” cracks up Noah.
