I decided it was time to start playing with all the Photo Friday folks, although I am jumping in a little late, since it’s Sunday. :)

The_coolest_sculpture_we_saw Eagle Woman is my entry for Photo Friday.

Here are my reasons:

The sculpture is so phenomenal and powerful;

The eagle is reflective;

I love the reflection of the whole sculpture, in the water;

The woman in the background even looks reflective.

We can’t help it. We just sometimes fall in love with some especially adorable part of him. Lately, it’s been his irrisistible little feet, particularly the toes.

Mommy & Noah for Easter

Don’t I have an adorable family?

I’m full of hopeful and happy Easter sentiment this morning. How can you not feel that sense of renewal and a wide open future looking at those faces?

I hope you have a wonderful Easter too!

Heh. I just love taking pictures of Noah. I love it WAY more than he does.

We took this after he woke up from a 2 hour nap on my chest this afternoon. Thank god he took that, because he woke up at 3:30 and refused to go back to sleep.

UPDATE: I took these pictures the same day I posted them. That would be on Wednesday.

What can I say? I’ve totally lost my ability to keep track of time. Last night, I dreamed that today was Friday and we slept until 11:10 am, completely missing Noah’s 2 month doctor’s visit.

My BBall Outfit

I did try to take some cute pictures of The King on Monday when I took him into work.

In honor of the NCAA Championship games going on — can you believe I know that? — we put him in his B-Ball onesie and the distressed jeans from Aunt Anna. There’s a special bling bling t-shirt that goes with them, but we thought the B-Ball shirt was more appropriate.

Have you seen the TV show South of Nowhere?

It’s The L Word Junior — or maybe 90210 meets The L Word.

Especially amusing so far in the plot arc is that the main character keeps meeting, hanging out with, and even going on dates with lesbians, but she doesn’t realize they’re hitting on her. And naturally, she hasn’t figured out that she might want to date them too.

South of Nowhere is the source of today’s Silly Internet Quiz. I’m the adopted brother. :)

We didn’t take a LOT of pictures, but we took a few. Here are my favorites:

This doesn’t really capture how beautiful the beach was, but you get a little sense of the turquoise water and the lovely weather.

And you can see why I had to be Extremely Responsible to keep my sun exposure minimal. I stayed under the umbrellas the entire time, except when splashing around or walking to and from the ladies room.

Liza_jillHere we are at a "Lolo" — an outdoor barbeque place in Grand Case.

As you can see, my sunscreen efforts weren’t 100% successful. That was the day I stayed indoors most of the day to let the sunburn heal, and after that, I switched to the waterproof sunscreen and limited my time in the water to only ~15 minutes, maybe twice/day.

All I have to add is OUCH.

And last, but not least, here are the 4 of us after dinner on our last night.

Mikki & Claire were so sweet — they took us out for my birthday. We ate at a fabulous romantic restaurant, with seats along the waterfront in the marina in Marigot. And my sweet girl gave me the rose and all that bling I’m wearing.

(If you look closely, you can see that the necklace symbolizes the new family — two pink stones surrounding a blue stone.)
